- SCTA Rewards recognizes the riders, families, and volunteers who help make SCTA events and the club possible. Participants earn points for eligible contributions and can redeem those points for available rewards.
- You do not have to be an annual SCTA member to participate in the Rewards program. Both members and non-members can earn points for eligible activities.
- Points can be earned by helping with eligible SCTA activities such as checking sections, working the scoring table, helping with event setup or cleanup, recruiting new competitors, contributing photographs or social media content, and other approved activities. Point values vary by activity: Ways to earn on Rewards Home lists them.
- Yes. Season Members earn a bonus on points from eligible activities. Rewards Home shows the current bonus and the member points for each activity. SCTA sets the bonus and may change it.
- Yes. Balances top out at a maximum set by SCTA; Rewards Home shows it (for example, “135 of 200 max”). If an award would take you past the maximum, only the points needed to reach it are credited. A transfer that would take someone past the maximum doesn’t go through, and you’re told how many points they can take.
- SCTA Rewards points do not currently expire. SCTA may introduce a points-expiration policy in a future version of the program.
- Choose Redeem on Rewards Home (or the Redeem tab). Pick a reward, check the review (your balance now, the cost, and your balance after) and confirm. An SCTA admin fulfills it within 7 days; you’ll see it under Your rewards on Rewards Home.
- Cash off anything SCTA: event entries, memberships, apparel and swag, currently 15 points for every $5 off, in $5 steps. Your discount code appears under Your rewards on Rewards Home within 7 days; use it at checkout on socaltrials.com. Other rewards may include annual memberships, gas cards, donations, and other rewards offered by SCTA. Rewards and point costs can change over time; Redeem always shows the current ones.
- Yes, when point transfers are switched on. Use the Transfer tab on Rewards Home to give points to another SCTA Rewards participant. Points move straight away and can’t be taken back, so check the name. If transfers are switched off, the Transfer page says so.
- The public Rewards leaderboard ranks everyone by points earned this season: points awarded for activities dated in the season, plus or minus any admin adjustments made during the season, less any of those awards or adjustments that were later reversed. Transfers and redeemed rewards don’t count, so it isn’t your balance: redeeming or transferring points doesn’t move you down. Only active participants with more than 0 points are listed, and people with the same points share a place (shown as “T-1st”, “T6”). Find it under Leaderboard on Rewards Home, or at rewards.socaltrials.com/leaderboard (no sign-in needed).
- Yes. A parent or guardian who has been granted access to a child’s participant profile can view that participant’s Rewards information and perform permitted actions on their behalf.
- Your login may be linked to multiple participant profiles, such as your own profile and profiles belonging to family members. Switch between them with the profile buttons at the top of Rewards Home, or choose who you’re redeeming or transferring for on Redeem and Transfer.
- Your Participant ID is the unique SCTA Rewards number assigned to your participant profile. It helps SCTA identify the correct participant, especially when family members share an email address.
- Choose the membership on Redeem and pick the season. An SCTA admin makes the membership for that season within 7 days, and your membership status then shows on Rewards Home.
- All history on Rewards Home lists every change to your points. If something looks wrong, email marketing@socaltrials.com with your name, Participant ID and a short description. An SCTA administrator can review your account and make a correction when appropriate.
